Updates from our Wraths in Training!

Getting out in winter can be a struggle. It’s easy to stay inside when it’s dark and cold and wet outside.

However, this isn’t stopping our incredible Cape Wrath Ultra participants. This month we asked you to send in your training pictures and you delivered. Read more for a few of our favourites!

Snowy escapades!

ESOL teacher, Agie, has kickstarted her training by getting out in the snowy hills of Scotland! However, she is braving the cold for a good cause – She is running the Cape Wrath Ultra to raise funds for her school which provides free English classes for refugees. (Please see her GoFundMe page here).

Midweek Outings

It sometimes takes some extra motivation to get in a good training session on weekdays when life already seems so busy. Thank you to Maxie for sending this picture of her midweek outing in some gale force winds!

Extreme weather across the pond

Madeleine has been battling against the snowstorms in New Hampshire. Meanwhile, Burton has been doing his training in Arizona. Despite the state being known for its hot and arid conditions, it’s been pretty wet out this winter!

Others have managed to avoid the winter conditions

Instead of the wet and the cold of Scotland, Cathy went out for a training week in Lanzarote. While the trails may be much drier, there were still plenty of hills to contend with.
